CURSE MY INQUISITIVE MIND!

I gaze in wonder to the world, to the patterns that exist in our complex life; patterns with out obvious regularity and patterns that are far to twisted for us to grasp their starting or finishing point. I stare at the billowy clouds that offer me comfort in a stressful day. Or the hypnotizing flicker of a burning flame. When others might twinge in fear to the ear shattering sound of lighting bolts, I stare in wonder, counting the seconds to another strike of that wicked sound. And as Autumn approaches, society cringes at the thought of all the leaves falling and the labor they'll have to put in to maintain their lawn looking decent. So when all others focus on that, I search for soft leaves and save them. I study the patterns of the veins on each leaf, and I witness the color scheme slowly changing as soft turns to delicately crunchy. Indeed my mind wanders too far from me sometimes. But as I Google "Earth Wonders" or something as simple as "Ants" it feels right to read or view nature in ways that our 21st century living conditions cannot offer us.
