What is new on the agenda of writing? Nothing. I've become a borish blog that centers around the activities of my life. I guess you can really say this blog is more like a diary; a web-ish diary where I jot down what's new in my life, what I am thinking (at times) new short stories I've come up with and so on.

I've been thinking about creating a new blog that is mainly about one thing. Me and my horrendous job. I hate my job and every weekday is a hassle. Getting up early in the morning, walking my beloved beagle, making a pot of coffee and watering my indoor plants isn't what's bothering me. It's the dread of working my ass off for a mere eight bucks an hour. Oh I've looked for another job, trust me, I've looked! Thank whatever godly force exists that I'm still attending college because I hate living paycheck to paycheck.

So why write about a job I hate? Because I know I am not the only one out there who dreams of something more but falls under the 'working class' category to get there. You see, I'm a cleaning lady. I attend the local community college full-time and bitch and moan about my job. Every. Single. Weekday.

So while I work Monday through Friday, 8am to 3pm Central Time, the thoughts, stories, events and other unmentionables (at least in this blog)that occur are quite interesting.

So stay updated with the crazy, hilarious, truthful and exhausting job-related events on my new blog The Cleaning Whiz!

2011

Hello everyone! I hope you had a terrific New Year's Eve and Day. I enjoyed the evening with my beloved. We shared a glass of wine and kissed after the countdown. It was great! The only thing missing, or really, person, was my sister Karla and her daughter Chanel. She did her own thing for the first time.

Most of my friends posted on their fb that they went out to celebrate the new-coming year. Dancing and drinking the night away. That's great! For them. Don't get me wrong, I love dancing and I enjoy a drink now and then...but my idea of bringing in the new year has a lot to do with my superstitions. I believe that how end or begin the night...that's how my year will be, in a sense. If I have a closet filled with dirty laundry, then for the rest of the year, I will always have a dirty basket of laundry! LoL I'm silly, I know.

Therefore, if I go out to spend the night with a bunch of strangers...what kind of way is that to spend a holiday? I much rather spend it near my loved ones, with all the things I like and make me happy. I enjoyed myself very much- I was so very happy! As I hope you all were!

Comment on my post with what you did on New Year's Eve and day. Details!

Much Love... SB
